06.27.2009 :: June 2009 ITE Greater Vancouver Section Monthly Meeting
At the June meeting, Graeme Brown from TransLink gave a presentation on using Google Earth to visualize transit passenger data. His presentation can be downloaded here. (Note: large file size, and requires Office 2007)


06.13.2009 :: 8th Annual ITE Golf Tournament - Thanks!
The 2009 ITE Golf Tournament was held on June 11th, 2009 at the Burnaby Mountain Golf Course as a fundraising effort for funding student scholarships. There were a total of 26 golfers. Thanks to all those that participated! Photos from the tournament will be available at a later date on this website.

06.13.2009 :: CITE Annual Conference
The CITE Annual Meeting in Montreal was held on May 30 to June 3, and was a tremendous success. The Meeting was well-attended by members of the Greater Vancouver Section. Our strong presence is a reflection of this Section's enthusiasm that enabled us to win the 2009 CITE Section Activity Award for the fifth year in a row. This award was presented during the Meeting to Section Vice-President Kanny Chow on behalf of the Section. Click on the thumbnail below to see a larger version:



We also congratulate Don Henderson for winning the 2009 Robert Burton Award for his distinguished service to the profession during his notable career. His contribution to the Greater Vancouver Section and to ITE has been well known to many, and we are pleased that it has been recognized with this award. Don also received this award during the Meeting.

The ITE Greater Vancouver would like to solicit feedback from you in regards to holding the following two training workshop in the Greater Vancouver area. If you are interested in attending these training workshop, please send an email to the section Secretary Matthew Chan at Secretary@citevancouver.org to indicate your interest. Once we have enough interested participants, we will be working with CITE to bring these two workshops to Vancouver. Please see the professional development page for more details.
