Program

In this section, you will find information on the schedule of events of the 2009 ITE Quad Conference. As it is still early in the planning stages, there isn't much content available yet. However, as the planning progresses, the latest information on the technical program, social events, technical tours, and any training occuring during the 2009 ITE Quad Conference will be posted here.


Technical Program and Sessions
The conference keynote speaker will be Mr. Thomas Prendergast, CEO of TransLink. For more information regarding Mr. Prendergast, please see http://www.translink.bc.ca/About_TransLink/News_Releases/news07020801.asp.

The Call for Abstracts ended on December 1, 2008. The Technical Program Committee is currently reviewing all the received abstracts and will aim have a draft program by early 2009. Thank you to all the authors who submitted an abstract.

Social Events
The Social Events Committee has several exciting events planned for delegates of the 2009 ITE Quad Conference in Vancouver, showing off the beauty and hospitality that Vancouver has to offer. For more information on the events, please navigate to our social events page. Come out and socialize with your fellow delegates while taking in the Vancouver experience.


Technical Tours
Ever wondered what a SkyTrain was? Have you been on a SeaBus or the West Coast Express? What's Vancouver doing in terms of transprotation for the 2010 Winter Olympics anyway? The Technical Tours, organized by the Technical Program Committee, will satisfy that geek...err...transportation engineer inside everyone, be it planner, architect or banker. Your kids will probably find it fun too! More details to become available closer to the date of the conference...


Training
At the 2009 ITE Quad Conference in Vancouver, delegates may be offered an opportunity to brush up on their skills. Check back in early 2009 to see if any training will be held pre- or post-conference.
